You’ll have to call up Terri’s profile before you can update her insurance information.
Open the Patient File Maintenance, tab to the name field and type in her last name.
Press the Tab key to pull up the patient listing box and then select Terri by typing in the line number and pressing tab again.

Secondary insurance can be added through the Coverages screen. Locate and press the appropriate hot key to see Terri's current coverages. |

Notice Terri’s primary insurance, DHF, is displayed on the Coverages screen. Clearing this screen, by pressing the Esc key, will automatically pull up a list of all available coverages so you can begin looking for the secondary insurance. |

Terri gives you her Kentucky Medicaid card for her secondary insurance. Enter using the sample information below, tabbing through fields as necessary.
Remember to save your work using the appropriate hot key.
You’ll receive a warning box, but it’s nothing to worry about right now. Accept it and move on. |

You’re almost done, but you still need to set up Terri’s primary insurance to send the copay to her secondary insurance. Notice her available insurances are listed across the top of the screen: DHF,KY,PR.
Type in the 3rd party code for her primary insurance, shown in the information below.
Then,click in the Copay Third Party field and type in the 3rd party code you just entered and press the Tab key. |

PROscript allows you to specify which insurance will be billed first by indicating an answer on line 24. Use a "y" to indicate her primary should be billed first.
Remember to save your work by pressing the appropriate hotkey. |
