Introduction to SureScripts
scenarioText
Marley was recently enrolled in PROscript so all of his prescriptions are being transferred to Genoa. His primary care physician sent his prescription for hydrocortisone cream through SureScripts. Marley would like you to confirm that his prescription was successfully transferred. To complete this task, you’ll need to locate the prescription and review its details.
whyImportant
Knowing where to find eScripts, and when you’ve received them, is critical to consumers receiving their medications on time.
conclusion
Great work! Marley is happy to know that his prescription was successfully transferred. Next, you’ll learn how to view prescriptions in Docuflow. You may now exit this tutorial.

Prescriptions received in an electronic form will be found in SureScripts in PROscript. These are typically accompanied by an e-script notice to alert you that they’re ready. Assume you have already reviewed the notice for Marley’s prescription. Open RxEntry, then access SureScripts by entering the correct line letter in the Action box.

Notice the E-Script screen defaults to displaying active E-Scripts. Prescriptions in bold indicate that they haven’t yet been viewed. Open the prescription that Dr. Allen sent for Marley’s Hydrocortisone cream.

The selected E-Script will open in RxEntry. You’ll get to practice processing E-scripts in another course. For now, just review the contents of each tab, clicking Prescriber, Drug and Misc to see the contents of each. Then return to the Patient tab to complete this task.
